When you consider all the shooting situations you will be faced with while traveling, you will be glad you have selected a digital compact that can handle them all. The versatility of this unit is amazing. You can take wide angle landscape photos, then quickly zoom in to capture a close-up without having to change a thing. Then, if the situation warrants, switch to video mode.

The camera will work on totally automatic if you wish because of the Smart Auto technology with 22 pre-designed settings that cover just about any shooting situation you can imagine. But it you want more control, you can switch to Aperture or Shutter Priority.

One of the handy features is the articulating LCD screen. If you are stuck in the middle of a crowd at a sporting event or a concert, you can lift the camera above the crowd and still see the LCD screen to compose your photo.
